Couture means To hand make to a clients measurements. at maiden we do just that, for you and your wedding gown.

so Often I hear brides say they like different details from numerous gowns they've tried on: a bodice of one gown, and the skirt of another, this neckline with that sleeve, “i wish it had buttons” etc.

With a custom designed, handmade gown- she can have what she wants. as her designer, i blend the style and details that she is drawn to, to create a gown that embodies all that she loves. The final gown is a true reflection of who she is on the day she married her love~

With Maiden’s head designer, brides meet to discuss style, design, fit, fabrics and all things wedding. Through numerous fittings (estimate 6-10 dependent upon style and intricacies) the gown is designed, sewn and fit to the bride.

Couture hemp silk and silk chiffon gown for a gorgeous seaside ceremonY. We designed Maire’s Gown based upon styles she totally loved. Sleek and soft and flowing in the ocean breeze.

When Liz came to me with her mother’s gown from the mid 90’s it was head to toe lace - a beautiful high quality lace, but totally dated. It also had a detachable tulle over skirt skirt with lace detail. We completely deconstructed the original gown, making a deep V bodice with mesh inserts at the side seams, a beautiful soft V back neckline, and a completely new silk crepe trumpet style skirt with an elegant train. We even took that tulle over skirt and turned it into a killer veil edged in lace from the original gown. To say she was happy is putting it lightly, we at Maiden were elated. Her final look is modern, clean and so very much a reflection of everything she wanted in a gown. Oh…and we added silk covered buttons!

Gina was traveling across the country for an appointment with us and happened to stop in at her parents house. For a chuckle, her mom pulled out her own wedding gown for gina to try on. It fit her to a “t.” So she ended up bringing it along to her fitting. We decided to go ahead and redesign her heirloom piece into a more personal modern look. We kept the bodice pretty true and used the original lace to create a damask style elongated top and enhance it’s beauty with a new silk chiffon tiered skirt. How absolutely stunning she looked on her wedding day.
